2010 Bountiful Blanc
Mencarini Vineyards, Lodi

This blend is the perfect chilled “picnic” wine to accompany the summer music nights in the Abundance Vineyards courtyard or to simply enjoy while BBQing in the hot summer days by the pool! Our 2010 Bountiful Blanc blend consists of primarily Symphony, a cross between two French vinifera varieties: Muscat of Alexandria and Grenache Gris, cut with a splash of Sauvignon Blanc. The aromatic nose of this straw colored wine, accompanied by a light green hue, is true to the Muscat character filled with nectarine and a hint of green apple. Juicy fruit and peach flavors flood your mouth followed by a hint of sweet pineapple and concluded with a long fruity finish. This off dry wine is great for sipping as an aperitif, as well as a good accompaniment for light fish dishes and most Asian foods.

2009 Chardonnay
Santa Barbara County

After a long awaited release, the wait is finally over! Our 2009 Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is a splendid example of what a Chardonnay should be. A bright, tropical pineapple, apple and vanilla nose begins the experience of this multi-faceted wine. Luscious fruit of apples, pineapple and kiwi opens the rich, round mouth feel with a lively balance which is slightly tart and lightly oaked. This Chardonnay concludes with a long lingering oaky apple finish. A well balanced wine on the tart side which makes it very food friendly, especially with lighter, more acidic foods, such as fish and salads, yet flavorful enough to stand by itself as an aperitif. Release Date: September 2010.

2009 Elegante
Mencarini Vineyards, Lodi

Abundance Vineyards is proud to release our very first Rose di Carignane and continue to build on our love for this varietal. Aromas of strawberries and toasted oak flow from the glass of this bright coral colored wine, resembling an elegant rose blossom. As the name implies, this is a round, rich and seductively elegant wine, well suited to a candle lit dinner for 2 special people. A very long, pleasing finish follows a rich entry of oak, strawberries, peaches, and a hint of rhubarb. Our 2009 Elegante is a delicately balanced wine which will enhance the flavors of delicate dishes such as roast turkey or smoked duck and beet salad with a light balsamic dressing. A serious wine harvested from the second vineyard planted by the Mencarini family, this wine speaks truths to its varietal and character. Release Date: August 2010.

2009 Bountiful Blanc
Lodi

Although, our 2007 Bountiful Blanc was a tough act to follow, our newest release of our 2009 Bountiful Blanc has met and exceeded all expectations! Best served chilled, the medium straw color of this Symphony and Sauvignon Blanc blend, opens up to an aromatic apricot and peach nose with a hint of banana and orange rind. The bright lively fruit of apricot and a hint of Muscat flood your mouth with your first taste. Sweet, yet tart; lean, yet full with a medium long, slightly sweet finish. The 2009 Bountiful Blanc is a fun general purpose wine, great as an aperitif, yet bright and balanced to mate with lighter foods with a little spice. This wine is a wonderful accompaniment for an afternoon picnic, for sipping by the pool, or for enjoying while listening to live music in the Abundance Vineyards courtyard. Release Date: July 2010.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon

People often question the quality of Cabernet Sauvignon in our area. Because we have sandier, dryer soils, consumers often expect that Lodi Cabernet's will be vegative, tannic and tough to drink. The Mencarini brothers have worked their Cabernet vineyards for the past 20 years and have perfected their technique for growing a beautiful Cabernet crop year after year.

Dino and Ron have found that with maticulous attention to watering, no fertilization, and impecable timing with their canopy managment they are able to provide their fruit with a very desirable climate in which to grow and also provide some of the most intense fruit flavors in the area.

Our 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is the very first release for Abundance Vineyards from our vineyard on DeVries Road. We take pride in producing small berried clusters that allow for maximum color and intensity. You will find that our Cabernet offers a moderate tannin structure balanced with a bright berry nose and a long fruity finish.

2009 Abundantly Rich Red
Mencarini Vineyards, Lodi

As is typical with the Abundantly Rich Red, this is a beautiful blend of Carignane and Old Vine Zinfandel. The dense, dark raspberry color of this versatile wine opens up to a nose flooded with strawberries, a little plum and a hint of evergreen. Plums, strawberries, and a little oak, are richly layered and nicely balanced with a soft, long fruit and oak finish. This soft and rich blend is fruity enough for sipping as an aperitif, yet bold enough to accompany cheeses, pasta and many red meats. This is a really enjoyable, flavorful red wine for many occasions. Release Date: March 2011.

2010 Rockets Red Glare
Lodi

We released our first bottling of Rockets Red Glare at our Veteran’s Day Luncheon on November 11th, 2010. This non-vintage California Zinfandel is a release that is near and dear to our hearts. We are donating $2.00 a bottle to the Fisher House as well as the VA Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center in Palo Alto, CA. The Fisher House is built and staffed specifically for the families of our service members and veterans to stay while their children, spouses or parents are undergoing surgical procedures or working through rehabilitation programs. Since the VAPAHCS Fisher House opened in April 2006, more than 1,100 families have stayed there free of charge. The VA Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center provides both inpatient and outpatient services in specialized rehabilitation programs including: traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, blind rehabilitation and post traumatic stress disorder. Over 16,000 soldiers and marines have been wounded in combat in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Facilities in Palo Alto provide mission critical treatment for returning wounded soldiers, sailors and Marines. With proceeds from bottle sales combined with the generous donation of lunches by DeVinci’s of Lodi for our Veteran’s Day luncheon, we have raised $2500 in our first quarter. Supporting our troops is something that we are very passionate about at Abundance Vineyards. We hope that you will join in our efforts, and the efforts of many others, to help our troops and their families make a speedy and safe recovery! Thank you for your support!!

2007 Merlot

Our 2006 Merlot was the triumphant return to Lodi since 2002. Our 2007 Merlot has gone above and beyond all expectations. This wine showcases the Mencarini Brothers constant strive for quality improvement. Our 2007 follows the 2006 Merlot with much of the same fruit profile, but what a difference in tannin and structure! The hot dry summer and cool fall evenings make Lodi an ideal location for this multifaceted Merlot to reach full potential.

Don't let the garnet color of this wine fool you. This Merlot boasts bright flavors of cherry sorbet with just the right amount of spice. Opening up with a rich plum and blackberry nose you are left with a hint of oak and leather. A round rich bodied wine that starts with a bright fruit of plum laced with oak and a long fruity finish. A rich wine with soft tannins.

Our 2007 Merlot is a versatile wine with sufficient structure to enhance rich pasta dishes, big red meats and tangy cheeses.

2009 Old Vine Zinfandel
Mencarini Vineyards, Lodi

Our flagship wine, the Old Vine Zinfandel, is derived from two vineyards planted in 1900 and 1961. This gentle and elegant Zinfandel is designed to accompany rich foods such as pasta, rich cheese and red meats, while not overpowering them. A soft and elegant, plum fruit with a slight flavor of the vineyard open up this medium bodied wine with many layers and a lovely balance of ripe fruit and oak, followed with a medium long fruit and oak finish. Your experience with this wine will open with a dark, dense ruby color followed by jamey plum and ripe blackberry nose with a touch of oak. A perfect wine to share with friends and family over a hearty meal. Release Date: March 2011.

2009 Petite Sirah
Mencarini Vineyards, Lodi

The 2009 petite Sirah is a delicious example of why so many people are fanatic about Petite Sirah. This is a wine you first drink with your eyes. A dark and dense purple color open your eyes while vanilla oak, a slight hint of plum and chocolate open your nose. Many things can describe this wine: bright, fruity, balanced, bold, round, rich and luscious wine with a long and slightly oaky finish. The flavors of this complex wine will leave you with an extremely pleasant aftertaste. This wine is perfectly paired with a rich meal such as bold meats, game and heavy sauces. Release Date: March 2011.

2007 Mencarini Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

This luscious and robust Mencarini Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is definitely an ABUNDANT wine! The bright ruby color of this wine opens up to a nose filled with blackberries and the sweet vanilla of oak. Spicy cloves and blackberries balance superbly in this layered wine with a long sweet oak finish. This rich Cabernet Sauvignon is a definite food wine, crying out for a nice piece of Prime Rib or any other elegant meat dishes as well as dishes with a rich sauce.

2007 Mencarini Reserve Petite Sirah
Lodi

Our first Mencarini Reserve Release and oh so worth the wait! The deep, dense, black ruby color opens up to a nose filled with plums and leather with a hint of blueberries. The complex flavors of this wine balance between blueberries, plums, oak and wonderfulness with a long blueberry and oak finish. This rich and balanced wine is not your typical Petite Sirah. Is this an aperitif or a food wine? Yes, it is.

2008 “Bacio Dolce” Carignane Dessert Wine

Any port in a storm no longer applies. The bright strawberry and plum flavors of Carignane come through in our first offering of this sweet dessert wine, Bacio Dolce, a sweet kiss. A dessert by itself, as well as a pleasant accompaniment to the fireplace on a stromy night.

The Carignane varietal has been a specific interest to the Mencarini brothers. While other growers were pulling out their Carignane vines, the Mencarini's are focused on building theirs. The Mencarini's have been growing Carignane for three generations and consider it to be a primary grape for our blends.

The Bacio Dolce is a pleasant wine for all to drink. Port and non-port drinkers alike enjoy this sweet kiss. Our mouth watering dessert wine is user-friendly and designed to attract any consumer from an inexperienced wine drinker to the most sophisticated pallet. Bacio Dolce is multifunctional; it stands alone as a dessert, pre or post dinner cordial, or just to enjoy a delicious glass of port! What a way in which to end the day?

Sparkling Brut

Abundance Vineyards' Sparkling Brut is a crisp, refreshing sparkling wine filled with bubbles and fun! Pear and pinapple nuances leap out of this sparkler with lively flavors of crisp green apple. A toasty, coconut finish completes this sparkling wine. A perfect wine for any and every celebration or just for a hot summer day!

Almond Flavored Sparkling Wine

Our delicious AV Sparkling Wine with an essence of almond! A demi-sec sparkling wine with a delicate almond flavor layered over impressions of pear, green apple, and toasted vanilla. Natural almond essence is added to our Sparkling Wine to create this unique sparkler! A popular wine for wedding toasts and events of all kinds!

AV Raspberry Flavored Sparkling Wine

Our delicious AV Sparkling Wine with the essence of raspberry! Surprisingly delicious the straw colored Abundance Vineyards Raspberry Sparkling Wine explodes with delicious red raspberry flavor on top of our hints of pear, green apple, and toasted coconut. Our Raspberry Sparkling Wine is demi-sec, yet lively, and is a refreshing change from the traditional! Release Date: September 2010.
